Mobisante, a US-based provider of medical imaging systems, has launched MobiUS TC1 tablet ultrasound system.
The system, which is based on the MobiUS SP1 smartphone ultrasound system, can be used in emergency departments, clinics, rural and community hospitals, and disaster relief organizations.
The system is designed for use in the diagnosis and treatment of trauma (FAST exam, lung, cardiac screening), abdominal pain, AAA and other routine screening such as bladder assessment, OB/GYN assessments, triage, ultrasound-guided procedures.
The platform also supports endocavity probes for gynecology or prostate imaging.
Mobisante CEO and co-founder Sailesh Chutani said, "Devices like MobiUS TC1 enable more care to be provided outside of expensive settings like hospitals into settings that are less expensive, such as clinics and other locations where the patient needs immediate care."
