ABB, a leading power and automation technology group, has announced the start-up of the new paint production facility, built for ESKARO Group AB in Odessa, Ukraine. When in operation the plant will have a capacity of 15,000 tons/year of waterborne decorative paint.
ABB was responsible for the detailed engineering, the supply of core process equipment and also the erection supervision and start-up assistance.
In addition to efficiency and increased productivity, ABB solutions and control systems provide Eskaro with production facilities compliant with health, safety and environmental standards by reducing emissions, product losses and recycling water. Furthermore, waste water will be treated by evaporation and condensation of vapours. Treated water will be reused in the process as cleaning water.
With this new factory, Eskaro aims at increasing their share of the Ukrainian paint market up to 20 percent in five years. The growth potential has been also taken into account during the detail design phase and extension possibilities are planned so as to reach a capacity of 30,000 tons/year.
