LAS VEGAS — Motion upholstery resource Barcalounger has signed a lease for a new permanent showroom at the Las Vegas Market, which opens Sunday.
The new exhibit space in World Market Center A-948 will allow the company to show a wider range of products and styles, said Larry Smith, president and CEO.
Barcalounger has shown in various temporary Las Vegas showrooms since January 2011, when the iconic brand was re-launched in the U.S. market after its former owner shut down the company and filed for bankruptcy protection.
Much of the line is imported, but the company began domestic production last fall after acquiring the motion upholstery division of H.Home and its factory in Bean Station, Tenn. The domestic production will include home theater seating under the Row One by Barcalounger name.
Row One, a unit of accent furniture and upholstery resource Jasper Cabinet, unveiled its partnership with Barcalounger at the High Point Market in October.
