Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese carmaker Toyota, is planning to unveil the new RC coupe at the upcoming 2013 Tokyo Motor Show to be held in Japan during November.
The new coupe, which would replace the carmaker's IS version, is expected to be powered by a 3.5L engine that generates an output of 306hp, while a hybrid variant is also expected to be launched only for the Japan and European markets.
Lexus is also planning to unveil the RC-F performance version at the upcoming Detroit auto show to be held in January 2014.
Powered by a 5.0L V-8 engine that generates an output of 460hp, the performance version of the vehicle would be based on LF-CC concept and use same architecture as of the IS350 F Sport and the standard IS versions.
According to the carmaker, the new coupe version will be introduced into the US dealerships in late 2014.
