The ceremony, developed to honour the top female leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and other changemakers, will be held at the Women in Toys 2017 Gala on Sunday, February 19th next year.
Nominations are now open for Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment’s 13th Annual Wonder Women Awards.
The ceremony, developed to honour the top female leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and other changemakers, will be held at the Women in Toys 2017 Gala on Sunday, February 19th next year.
Taking place at Piuer 60, Chelsea Piers in New York during the New York International Toy Fair, the theme of this year’s Gala will be WIT Changemakers: Playing it Forward.
Nominations for the awards are now open and comes with updated nominations guidelines, criteria, voting process, timeline and elimination of the entry fee to nominate, designed to boost participation in the annual Awards programme.
WIT will now open voting to all of it members, as well as board members, advisory board members and industry influencers.
“We see these changes as an evolution of the industry and the WIT organisation,” said Janice Ross, Wonder Women Awards co-chair and head of global licensing at American Greetings Entertainment.
“With growth comes change, and we believe these positive changes capture this progression and serve to strengthen the Wonder Women Awards Program and our organisation as a whole.”
The 2017 Wonder Women Award Categories include: Changemakers in Manufacturing, Changemankers in Marketing, Changemakers in Licensing, Changemakers in Entertainment and Changemakers of Tomorrow.
Nominations must include an essay of up to 400 words describing the nominee’s achievements, up to five major accomplishments of the nominee and optional supporting files for more background.
Nominations will close on November 1st 2016 with the final nominees announced on November 21st. Voting will then commence.
The voting process will close on December 19th this year before the Award finalist are announced on February 1st 2017.
