Brown & Brown has elected James S. Hunt (Jim) to its board of directors, in an effort to help the firm as it moves towards its next intermediate revenue goal of $2bn.
Having worked with the Walt Disney Company from 1992 to 2012, Jim most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the global parks and resorts business.
Before joining Disney, he was a partner with Ernst & Young.
Brown & Brown chief executive officer and a member of the board J Powell Brown said Jim had significant knowledge in finance, strategy and operations.
As a member of the board of directors of JobSync, he also serves on the board of trustees of the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where he is finance committee chair, compensation committee vice chair and an executive committee member.
Jim was on the corporate board of directors of Orlando Health, the University of Central Florida Foundation and the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, of which he was chairman.
Brown & Brown, through its subsidiaries, offers a broad range of insurance and reinsurance products and services, as well as risk management, third-party administration, managed health care, and Medicare set-aside services and programs.
