The new model comes with additional improvements in the hygienic design of the pump and increased pressure capability that further enhance the pumping process. It is used in a diverse range of industries, including chemicals, food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, convenience, diary, and cosmetics. The product improvements bolster the SLH’s reputation for handling more viscous fluids, including food and juice concentrates, and convenience foods such as ketchup and chocolate. In addition, a growing application of the SLH is in the meat processing industry.
The SLH 4G pump was recently displayed at Vision Pharma 2013, a forum for innovations and solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. This was the first industry event for ITT Bornemann since it became part of ITT last November.
“I am excited to add Bornemann Pumps’ superior food handling capability in the more viscous fluids to complement the Goulds Pumps’ centrifugal models that are used for general purpose applications in this industry,” said Robert J. Pagano Jr., President of ITT’s Industrial Process business. “These two world-class pump brands, together with ITT Engineered Valves, will provide customers in the biopharmaceutical and food & beverage industries cost-effective solutions for their processing and balance-of-plant applications.
“We will continue to invest in SLH product development and distribution channel expansion to better serve our customers in these industries worldwide,” he added.
