Target is partnering with celebrated designer Prabal Gurung to introduce a limited-edition collection of affordable women’s apparel and accessories, including handbags, shoes and jewelry.
Gurung has developed a strong base of fans, from Hollywood’s most-acclaimed to Great Britain’s royalty and beyond. In 2010 Gurung was the recipient of the Ecco Domani Fashion Fund Award and selected as runner up for the 2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
In 2011, he was honored as one of USA Network’s Character Approved Award recipients, named goodwill ambassador of Maiti Nepal, a finalist of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award and was the recipient of the 2011 CFDA Swarovski Award for womenswear.
In addition to his upcoming collaboration with Target, Gurung created two pieces- an elegant wool cape and bow-clad clutch- for the much- anticipated Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection, which launched Dec. 1, 2012.
Prabal Gurung for Target was inspired by a tender love story, offering women’s apparel and accessories suitable for all occasions from the initial crush to the first kiss, to everlasting love. Prabal Gurung for Target will be available February 10, 2013 at all Target stores.
