Foodlink Announcs That a Series of New Customers Have Selected Its PTI Platform

FoodLink, a US-based supply chain and commerce solutions provider, has announced that a series of new customers have selected its produce traceability (PTI) platform for fresh produce.

The new growers and shippers who selected FoodLink's PTI include Coastal Fresh Farms, Garden Fresh Vegetables and Rincon Farms.

Retail grocers are seeking new levels of information about the origin and history of the fresh food they sell, the company said.

In response, fresh produce growers and shippers are opting solutions such as FoodLink to comply with new industry standards for labeling and tracking products.

FoodLink connects advanced case and item-level tracking, with an extensive commerce network of buyers and sellers transacting over the FoodLink network.

In a faster and more cost effective manner, the cloud-based solution allows tracking information about where food is grown and packed all the way through the supply chain of shipping, purchasing and receiving by retail category managers, and finally bringing it to consumers.

FoodLink chief marketing officer Kevin Brooks said, "Now that some of the largest retailers are mandating PTI data on inbound shipments, we're seeing a new wave of customers looking for practical, affordable technology to help them track the origin and movement of fresh food. We're happy to help them succeed."
