Protective packaging solutions provider Sealed Air Europe has introduced Fill-Air Rocket inflatable void-fill system to the European market.
The system has been designed to use with Air Extreme and Fill-Air Extreme Efficiency inflatable void-fill film, and operates at a speed of 30m of film per minute.
Instant start mechanism in the system will help in increasing production during the first 20 seconds of operation, and eliminates the need for void-fill accumulation in some cases, said the company.
The film feed will be improved by the active film web tracking, while cross seal identification sensors enable the system to stop and start automatically.
Sealed Air European product manager Andy Robinson said compared to previous generation models, the company's Fill-Air Extreme film offers a 25% carbon footprint.
"The Fill-Air Rocket system uses advanced technology that enables precise and consistent sealing that determines optimum air pillow performance and ensures the product is protected until it reaches the customer," Robinson added.
