Infineon's calendar Q2 revenues were 5%down on Q2 last year at Euros 990m and profits were down to Euros 126m.
The company expects calendar Q3 sales to be'flat to down slightly'and full fiscal year sales to the end of September are expected to be 3%down on the Euros 4bn of its last fiscal year.
Operating margin for calendar Q3 will be 13-14%,down from last year's 20%.
The company has instituted a hiring freeze and is cutting capex from this year's Euros 900m to Euros 615m next year.
