Japan based DSM Nanjing is building a new Caprolactam (CPL) plant in China and plans to start commercial production by September 2013.
A DSM Nanjing official informed fibre2fashion, “We are building a new CPL plant in Nanjing, which is expected to begin production by September 2013 and it is being built at a cost of US $300 million.”
DSM Nanjing already operates two lines of Caprolactam in Nanjing - China and each line has a production capacity of 200,000 tons per year.
On asked to comment on any immediate maintenance turnaround at the existing CPL plant, he said, “Currently there is no plan for a turnaround in 2013.”
