German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new GLA concept SUV ahead of its global debut at the upcoming Shanghai auto show to be held in China during 21 to 29 April 2013.
The new SUV concept is powered by a 2L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is mated to a 7G -DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission as well as 4MATIC all-wheel drive and generates an output of 211hp with 1991cc displacement.
The front headlamps of the model incorporate a laser-beam projector, which provide the light to drive by as well as allow projecting pictures or films onto a screen or other surface via a smartphone, the internet, or from a hard drive with the equipped in-dash COMAND system.
In addition, the concept model is fitted with two cameras at the front of its roof rails, which can be used to take 3D images as well as to project the directional instructions from the navigation system onto the road in the form of arrows.
The concept is equipped with 20-inch wheels, with five-spoke turbine design incorporating and 255/45 R 20 tyres.
Mercedes Benz's new model is expected to be launched during early 2013.
