Best Buy recently announced that next month will launch the latest Low Price Guarantee, which was expected to eliminate the phenomenon of showrooming.
The showrooming refers to the consumer in the store to compare the price of goods and quality, finally through the online purchase. For retail stores, especially the store retail consumer electronics, phenomenon of showrooming is a major worry for them
But best buy announced recently, from March 3rd onwards, all product categories under the price will match all the local retail competitors and 19 major online rivals, whenever a user purchases.
Matt Furman the spokesman of Best Buy said: "There is no doubt that the new policy will end the phenomenon of showrooming" As early as last year, during the Christmas shopping season, Best Buy had launched a temporary price matching policy, while this time it is a permanent policy.
