Audi’s American division has entered into an agreement with US based telecom company AT&T to bring AT&T 4G LTE or 3G coverage to vehicles featuring Audi connect.
As part of the agreement AT&T will be providing SIM cards to all the customers 2016 models with Audi connect to access AT&T's wireless network.
The connected models include A3, S3, A5, S5, Q5, A4, S4 and S8, and with AT&T.
Audi connect customers will also get an option to facilitate Mobile Share data plan.
Audi with its new A6, A7, and TT models is planning to introduce an advanced version of Audi connect which is likely to include up-to-the-minute traffic information, over the air map updates, semi-dynamic route guidance and internet radio.
With The new Audi connect 4G LTE service drivers are expected to get faster Google Earth and Google Street View services, and it will also facilitate seamless streaming and faster downloads through the in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot.
Audi of America director Filip Brabec said: "The convenience and added benefit of having Audi connect services in our vehicles, along with Wi-Fi access for up to eight devices, serves as a competitive advantage for our brand.
"We have been and intend to remain innovators in this field through relationships like this one with AT&T."
