Chambre de commerce et d'industrie Régionale Rhône-Alpes published the annual report in the textile industry for the third time, this time the report made the domestic leading position clear of the area of the textile industry. It was reported that Rhone Alps textile industry had a total of 712 enterprises, employing 15689 people, becoming one of the major industries in a very high degree in industry innovation.
Rhone Alps textile business enterprises throughout the field of fashion (clothing, underwear, swimwear and accessories etc.), the field of home decoration (furniture fabric accessories, curtains, yarn curtains, etc.) and the technical and industrial textiles field (aerospace, medical, personal protective equipment, sports and entertainment equipment textile industry), the number of employees was about 60% of the total number of local employees.
Nearly three-quarters of the textile enterprises and their employees were in the Rhône, Loire and Isère. Rhone Alps textile industry was the area of the PMI, for 90% of the employees of the companies to hire fewer than 50 people, and 70% of the companies’ turnover was less than 2,000,000 Euro.
