Japanese Car manufacturer Daihatsu Motor has introduced its new hybrid passenger vehicle, MEBIUS, in the home-market.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.8L hybrid engine that generates an output of 73kW and torque of 142Nm at 4,000rpm, while offering fuel consumption of 26.2km/L in JC08 mode.
Engine of the vehicle is combined with an electric motor powered by a nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery that delivers 60kW output and 207Nm of torque.
MEBIUS was built under an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement, which is a part of the business collaboration in the field of environmental technology between Toyota and Daihatsu.
The vehicle has a seating capacity for five persons, two rows of seats, five doors and a storage space of 535L.
Dimensions of the vehicle include length of 4,615mm long, 1,775mm width and 1,575mm height.
