Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has tested its new GT-R Nismo on the Sodegaura Forest Raceway, in Japan.
The company had officially unveiled the the new concept supercar during the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show in November 2013. Following this, the carmaker introduced it to North America at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Scheduled to be available later in 2014, the new car is the fourth model in the 2015 GT-R lineup, which also includes GT-R Premium, Black Edition and Track Edition.
It is equipped with a six cylinder twin turbocharged 3.8L V6 engine. The engine has received optimized ignition timing for all six cylinders, along with a tweaked fuel pump and other tweaks. It offers 600 HP (441 kW) and 652 Nm (481 lb-ft) of torque, reported Inautonews.
Along with the GT-R Nismo model, the company has also introduced two new models, a custom-built Sentra NISMO Concept and the production version of the new 2014 Nissan JUKE NISMO RS at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
