US-based Jack Link’s Beef Jerky is all set to acquire a packaged meat snack products manufacturing facility located in Bellevue, Nebraska from Skylark Meats, a subsidiary of American Foods Group.
Both firms have signed a deal to this effect, the terms of which are not disclosed.
Jack Link's Beef Jerky chairman of the board and CEO Jack Link said the Skylark Meat's Bellevue plant is a perfect fit for the company's business.
"The addition of this plant gives us the opportunity to expand on our existing manufacturing operations and enhance our ability to meet our customers' needs," Link added.
Subject to customary closing conditions, the acquisition is likely to be completed by the end of October 2012 and the company is expected to retain the present management and employees of the facility.
Through this acquisition, Jack Link's plans to increase production capacity and meet growing consumer demand for its brand.
The Bellevue facility is a current co-packaging producer of some of Jack Link's meat snack products.
