Taipei, May 14, 2012 (CENS)--LED lighting Taiwan 2012, which will take place on June 19-21, has enrolLED around 10% more exhibitors than 2011 event, according to organizer Photonics Industry and Technology Development Association (PIDA). These exhibitors include Epistar Inc., Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd., Lite-On Technology Corp., Delta Electronics Inc., Formosa Epitaxy Inc., Kingbright Elec. Co., Ltd., Genesis Photonics Inc., Lextar Electronics Corp., Nichia Corp., Cree Inc., Osram, Philips, Panasonic, Seoul Semiconductor Inc., MonoCrystal and GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd. They will display their latest products ranging from epitaxy wafer and sapphire to packages and lighting fixtures at over 200 booths. Around 60 buyers from 18 economies, including India, Turkey, Russia, South Africa and Singapore, will shop among them. According to PIDA, 61% of the buyers will come for LED lighting modules and lighting fixtures. A mainland Chinese trade delegation composed of around 100 LED specialists and enterprises is invited to meet with exhibitors. Forums are arranged on the sideline of this show with topics addressing LED horticulture lighting, OLED (organic light emitting diode) lighting technology, market development, and so on. The non-profit PIDA estimates the global LED industry to generate revenue of around NT$200 billion (US$6.89 billion at US$1: NT$29) this year, an increase of 10% from last year.
