Chorizo Sausage Is Being Recalled in Us by Alexis Wholesale

Alexis Wholesale,an establishment based in Gardena,California,is recalling 6,210 pounds of chorizo sausage as it contains monosodium glutamate(MSG)which is not mentioned on the labeling,according to the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service(FSIS).

The product subject to recall is 10 lb.boxes of Salvadorian Brand Chorizo with establishment number EST.44823 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

This product was produced between 2 July 2012 and 27 July 2012,and was sold to a distributor in Los Angeles.

The problem was discovered during a Food Safety Assessment by FSIS personnel.According to FSIS,MSG is a sub-ingredient in the chorizo spice blend.

This recall has been classified as Class III,which indicates a situation where the use of the product will not cause adverse health consequences.

FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
