South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor has reported global sales of 412,720 units in January 2013, up by 27.8% compared to the sales of 323,022 vehicles in the same month of 2012.
Company's domestic sales reached 50,211 units in the month, reporting an increase by 11.1% compared to 45,186 units it sold prior year while its overseas sale reached 362,509 units that went up by 30.5% compared to the 277,836 units sold in January 2012.
The domestic sales include 9,259 sports utility vehicles (SUV) sold in January 2013 that grew 64.5% from 5,628 units sold in corresponding month of 2012.
Commercial vehicle (CV) sales of the month amounted to 14,061units a 31.8% rise from 10,669 over the previous year.
The company's exports increased by 23.9% from 88,891units during January 2012 to 10,116 vehicles in same month of 2013.
From its overseas plants, the company recorded sales of 252,393 vehicles in January 2013, a 33.6% growth against the 188,945 units sold in same month of the previous year.
