Portland, Ore. – Triad Speakers expanded its passive soundbar selection to 12 with the shipment of its thinnest soundbar to date.
The 12 include three-channel soundbars and one-channel on-wall “soundbars” used for left, center and right applications.
The three-channel two-way Nano OnWall LCR 3.0, starting at a suggested $1,200 for a 44-inch version, is 1.6 inches deep and 3.25 inches high. The made-to-order speaker is available in custom widths and paint finishes.
Triad brackets are available to mount the speaker to the wall or direct to a TV.
The Nano LCR 3.0 is the first in a new series of ultra-compact three-channel soundbars that feature a fully damped extruded-aluminum enclosure already available in single-channel bars from the company. Building six 2-inch drivers and three 1-inch tweeters in a small enclosure that provides “robust performance” was “a major challenge,” said marketing manager Paul Teixeira.
Key soundbar specs include a frequency range of 190Hz-20kHz (+/-3dB), 75- to 125-watt recommended amp power, 6-ohm nominal impedance, and 84dB sensitivity at 2.83 volts, 1 meter.
