Arab News reported that the National Gas & Industrialization Company is seeking qualified Saudi employees to fill 50 vacancies.
The company addressed its need for 50 truck drivers to the Human Resource Fund which considered the company's offer to use Saudi labor force.
Mr Muhammad Alshabnan GM of GASCO has made known the company's need to employ qualified foreign drivers. So the company informed the Human Resource Fund in Riyadh that there are 50 vacancies with a starting salary of SAR 2,185 per month plus annual housing allowance of SAR 6,555. Meanwhile official authorities conducting a comprehensive revision of the company's rules realized the employees' dissatisfaction because of the preferential treatment.
Housing allowance is equivalent to 31% of what employees get in a company which exclusively distributes gas all over the country. The authorities are looking into the extent of mismanagement in the company as well as lack of job satisfaction among the majority of field employees which affected the flow of gas recently.
Mr Alshabnan denied that he has signed or sent any letter to the Human Resource Fund or hindered the employment of Saudi citizens in the company. He emphasized the fact that he gave the green light to search for Saudi truck drivers to be employed. Apart from this he asserted his intention to conduct an official inquiry about the fake letter sent in his name to the Human Resource Fund.
