Cura Technical, one of the UK's leading independent providers of technical support solutions, has announced that Jason Williams has been appointed Managing Director. This is the first announcement to be made since the acquisition of Uniter Group by an independent investor group. Under the terms of this acquisition the new group, which is headed by Cura Technical Holdings Limited, has acquired Uniter Group's core assets and customers along with OEM warranty and service delivery provider Cura Technical Limited.
Cura Technical delivers technical support solutions and managed print services to channel partners, system integrators, outsourcers and facilities management providers. It also provides warranty support to a wide range of leading manufacturers and system integrators.
According to Richard Baizley, Chairman of Cura Holdings: "The group has been rebranded Cura Technical as it is a recognised and respected name in the UK marketplace. The acquisition has significantly strengthened the combined balance sheets of the group and we will be investing in new IT infrastructure and processes that will enhance service delivery nationwide."
Staff at the old business will transfer to Cura Technical, which has started an ambitious recruitment drive for additional field-based technicians and other accredited technical resources.
"The maintenance industry is currently going through a period of consolidation and we have restructured our business to be in the strongest possible position," added Richard Baizley. "We have already won a number of significant contracts with our channel partners delivering service to national retailers and will be embarking on a series of tactical acquisitions to broaden our service capability and add value to our customers."
