Mitsubishi Electric is planning to build a new automotive component facility in the State of Queretaro, Mexico with an investment of $33m.
Construction of the new plant will commence in April 2013, while operations are expected to start in October 2014.
Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America group sales president Mike DeLano said, "With the continued turnaround and growth of the automotive industry in both North and South America, building this plant will increase our capacity and allow us to better compete and meet the needs of our customers throughout this hemisphere."
The new plant to be called as Mitsubishi Electric Automotive de Mexico will manufacture components such as starters and alternators.
