Heinz Pickles have been at backyard BBQs, family parties, and in lunches and dinners for more than a century.
This month Heinz will introduce its first new flavors of pickle chips in more than 50 years – Sweet & Spicy Pickle Chips and Spicy Garlic Pickle Chips – atPicklesburgh, a two-day festival held July 15-16 in Pittsburgh, PA on the Rachel Carson Bridge.
“Heinz has a legacy of delivering great tasting, quality products,” said Federico Arreola, Head of Marketing, Kraft Heinz. “Pickles have been part of the brand’s heritage since the 19th century. We’re excited to bring innovation to the category that will enhance our consumers’ favorite foods with new and bold flavors.”
The launch of the delicious new flavors will be a highlight at Picklesburgh, which was attended by more than 70,000 people last year. Heinz will be offering festival goers a chance to taste test both of the new pickles and cast a vote for their favorite.
The new flavors come in 16-ounce glass jars featuring the iconic Heinz Keystone Logo. The suggested retail price is $2.79. Heinz Sweet & Spicy Chips are a perfect balance of crushed red pepper and our secret sweet brine. Heinz Spicy Garlic Chips are made with real garlic and red pepper.
The new pickles will launch in all Giant Eagle locations on July 15 with a nation-wide rollout scheduled for late summer in national retailers such as Walmart and Target.
