Japanese car maker Nissan has reported 13.6% rise in its global sales in April to 364,173 units when compared to the corresponding month in 2011.
Nissan's sales in Japan grew 63.8% to 39,413 units and its sales outside also rose 9.5% to 324,760 units over the same period in 2011.
The Japanese carmaker's US sales decreased 0.3% to 71,329 units, while its sales in China increased 18.3% to 112,365 when compared to April 2011.
In Europe, Nissan reported 8.8% decline in its sales to 49,078 units, while sales in other regions including Brazil, India, Indonesia and Thailand rose 27.5% year-on-year to 66,509 units.
Nissan has also recorded 49% rise in its global production in April to 369,522 units, over the same month in 2011.
The company's Japan production rose 94% to 85,734 units during the period mainly due to rise in exports of Juke and improved demand for Serena model.
Nissan's production outside of Japan ascended 39.2% year-on-year to 283,788 units over the same period in 2011.
The carmaker's total exports in March rose 259.7% to 52,660 units, and its exports to North America and Europe increased 377%and 22.6% respectively.
