American multinational General Motors (GM) has announced safety recall for 717,949 vehicles across the US for various safety issues.
According to the recall, 2011-2012 models of Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain, Buick Regal and LaCrosse, and 2010-2012 Cadillac SRX have faulty power height adjustable feature that can make the seats go up and down freely.
In 2013 Chevrolet Malibus and 2011-2013 Buick Regal the front turn signals are faulty, and in the 2014 Chevrolet Impalas there is an issue with the electric power steering that can lead to no power steering assist while driving or during start-up.
The automobile maker is also recalling 1,919 units of 2014-2015 Korean import Chevrolet Sparks due to issues with low control arm bolt.
In the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon/Yukon Denali vehicles, the roof carriers are attached with wrong retaining nuts that can tear the roof rail air bags.
The company has also recalled Cadillac, Buick Encore, Chevrolet SS and Chevrolet Caprice due to issues with the seat hook.
GM Global Vehicle Safety vice president Jeff Boyer said: "We are bringing greater rigor and discipline to our analysis and decision making.
"If we identify an issue - large or small - that might affect the safety of our customers, we will act decisively."
