The Argos Toy Exchange scheme saw more than £560,000 worth of second-hand toys donated to children's charity Barnado's.
56,031 bags of toys were donated across the six week campaign, which was launched by Denise Van Outen, running from October 16th and November 26th.
It estimated that each bag of donated toys was worth an average of £10.
People who donated toys to Barnardo's at the charity's shops and at Argos stores received a voucher that gave them £5 off if they spent at least £35 in Argos on toys. The vouchers were valid until the shops closed on Christmas Eve.
"This is the second year of the partnership and we are delighted that the Argos Toy Exchange has again proved such a success, particularly in such a challenging economic climate," said Gerard Cousins, director of retail and trading at Barnardo's.
"Christmas is one of our busiest times, so receiving this substantial boost to our stock is a real festive bonus."
