The 564-door action sports chain, which no longer reports weekly comparable store sales when reporting monthly results, said May comps increased 3.6% with stronger same store sales in the month's final two weeks. Overall sales rose 13.3% to $49.5 million from $43.6 million. Comp store transactions and units per transaction were higher in May. AURs and dollars per transactions were down. The accessory, hardgoods, men's and juniors' categories comped positively. Footwear and boy's comp were negative for the month. ZUMZ year-to-date same store sales are up 2.2% versus a 0.3% decilne in the year-ago period.
