Austrian-based Agrana Fruit has expanded its presence in the South East Asian region and India with new facilities and local partnerships.
In Bangkok, the food company opened a new representative office along with a product development lab.
Agrana has chosen Jebsen & Jebsen to help its products reach Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
According to Agrana CEO Johannes Kleppers, the company intends to expand its presence further by increasing its product availability globally.
Kleppers called the enhancement of the company’s footprint in Asia to be significant as the emerging market offers above average growth rates of dairy consumption.
In Japan, the company has named Kiminori Tsujikawa as its local representative to service customer demands in the country.
According to Agrana, Tsujikawa’s experience and knowledge of local culture and taste will narrow the gap between local customer needs and international affiliates of the company.
Agrana will look to deliver frozen and processed fruits to the Japanese market through the new representation besides developing its product portfolio further.
Kleppers also said: “The local representatives, through their long-standing experience with Agrana Fruit and their knowledge of the local culture and industry insights will help realize synergies and enhance the growth targets of Agrana.
“The goal of Agrana Fruit is to develop its activities in the region and a continuation of sales increase in future”.
The Vienna headquartered company has recently formed a subsidiary in India by the name Agrana Fruit India to foray into the country.
Agrana Fruit said that its plans for the future in India will be completely based on getting customers and consumers through innovative and tailor-made fruit solutions suited to the India taste profile.
