Larson Electronics Magnalight has introduced a new explosion proof LED light fixture for wet and corrosive environments. The HALP- 48-2L-LED is suitable for petrochemical and marine applications that require Class 1 Division 2 lighting solutions.
Corrosion Resistant Class 1 Division 2 LED Light Fixture
The fixtures are made of polyester housing reinforced with glass fiber. The diffuser is made of impact resistant acrylic. Stainless steel cover latches and poured in cover gasket are other major features of the light. These fixtures are compatible with Magnalight’s LED tube lamps that are resistant to damage from impacts and vibrations. These units do not contain any ballast which reduces weight and allows easy installation.
The units are easily serviceable and the LED lamps can be upgraded to a higher output. Similar to traditional fixtures, the products can be re-lamped easily. These units can be easily opened and the bulb can be replaced by the operator. Certain integral LED fixtures require the complete unit to be replaced which leads to a higher total cost of operation.
The HALP- 48-2L-LED has UL 1598A Marine Type and UL Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D approvals. When switched on, the lamp provides instant on illumination and does not display any buzzing, flickering, delays or warm up times. The lamps that can be used with the fixture support voltages in the ranges of 120 V, 240 V and 277 V at 60 Hz, and 220 V at 50 Hz.
