Taiwan-based solar wafer firm Green Energy Technology(GET)has refuted rumors it is suspending production at its thin-film solar division.
The downturn in the solar market has been causing development obstacles for thin-film solar products.Due to losses incurred,GET recently shifted some employees from the thin-film solar division to silicon-based solar division.This caused rumors of a production suspension at the thin-film solar department to surface.GET indicated that thin-film solar products still have room to grow and the firm has been working with international firms to conduct further development.
The internal transfer of employees is due to high demand for silicon-based high efficiency solar wafers.Capacity utilization rates have been high.
