US-based product&package test laboratory Westpak has announced the commissioning of a 200 cubic foot vacuum chamber.
Westpak production manager Aaron Suarez said the company is able to offer better experience for altitude simulation during package validation to its clients by having the extensive capacity of vacuum chambers.
"Application of package distribution test plans, including ASTM D6653,ASTM D4169 and ASTM D7386,is essential for timely 510k filings,"Suarez said.
The vacuum chamber is set to expand the company's existing variety of test chambers, combined with a series of pressure recording systems that use digital manometers.
Westpak test engineers can also setup and test medical and pharmaceutical shipping containers.
