Reinforcing Its Commitment Towards The Production Has Rolled out Green Icon

MALAYSIA: Reinforcing its commitment towards the production of eco-friendly solutions, homegrown mattress giant, Getha has rolled out Green Icon, its latest range in innovative sleep systems, equipped with specific features to promote aesthetic and sleep health.

“Ten years ago, when we first introduced the Getha brand into the market, we were the pioneers in green and environmental-friendly products,” said Vincent Tan, Managing Director of Getha Beddings.

An original creation launched in conjunction with brand’s 10-year anniversary celebrations, the product was developed with the incorporation of latex layers and German-made wool padding. True to its blue-chip trademark, the product comes with a both pillow and euro top, which respectively allow for added comfort and luxury.

“Green Icon solves your mattress maintenance problems. We all rotate and flip our mattresses periodically to ensure durability. With Green Icon you can decide which surface side to utilise - the soft or firm side.”

In terms of aesthetic value, the mattress’s border design emphasises the precision of the household name’s craftsmanship. Meanwhile, it sports a symbolic ‘G’ logo, representing the green materials used.

Getha is a brand developed for the new generation of products by rubber trading company, Wei Fong Industries, which has been in operation for more than four decades.  The business’s primary ‘going green’ efforts focus on using locally-produced natural latex as a core ingredient.

The brand is in the midst of developing a targeted marketing and public relations campaign to build awareness around the concept whilst endorsing Green Icon as the go-to alternative for the health-conscious. “Our objective is to promote Malaysian latex as a national treasure and bring the country’s green brand to international heights,” Getha told FFE.
