Reuters reported that stainless steelmaker Aperam and the Italian stainless steel producers Arvedi and Marcegaglia, have stepped up on its bid for Outokumpu Italian steel mill, Terni as the seller, Outokumpu expressed that the bids they received so far were too low. Just last month, the Finnish stainless steel maker Outokumpu has asked the European Commission to let it keep the Italian steel plant the company agreed to sell to gain approval for its purchase of ThyssenKrupp's Inoxum unit. The Acciai Speciali Terni plant has been valued at more than €500 million by Outokumpu.
