Electric components manufacturer Brusa Elektronik has secured a contract to supply drivetrain components for Switzerland’s first 18t electric truck, E-FORCE.
The electric truck has been developed jointly by Eforce One and Designwerk to operate in short-haul services and the national distribution of goods.
The electric parts include two units of the Brusa HSM110.18.13 motors that generate an output of 150kW (204ps) and 305nm (225lbft)of torque each, along with two Brusa NLG6 on-board fast chargers that deliver 22kW each.
The additional components to be supplied by the manufacturer include two Brusa DMC534 inverters and a BSC614-24V DC/DC converter to power the 24-Volt auxiliary system.
According to the company, the new vehicle offers a transit range of about 300km and can be recharged in about six hours.
Earlier, the companies have been testing the truck at the Gotthard Pass in Switzerland, the customers will evaluate the performance of the truck from August 2013.
