Solina Group Acquires UK Culinary Sauce Maker New Ivory

French food supplier Solina Group has completed the acquisition of Rob Whitehad’s UK-based sauce maker New Ivory for an undisclosed price.

The acquisition is part of Solina Group’s efforts to strengthen its presence and also grow its network of local service operations in the UK.

Although the acquisition has been completed, New Ivory managing director Adam Jones along with other management team members have been retained.

Jones said: “We are looking forward to being part of the Solina Group. Together with Solina, we will continue to develop our product and service offering to not only help our customers achieve their growth plans but also provide greater assurance throughout the supply chain”.

Solina Group CEO Laurent Weber said that New Ivory is recognized widely in the retail and industry markets for its proactivity and service level.

The group will further develop its new platform in the UK in tandem with New Ivory’s management team, said Weber.

Weber said: “New Ivory will benefit from the existing European network of Solina with multiple R&D centers and technologies.

“We plan to provide New Ivory’s customers with access to Solina’s broader platform of products, ingredients and services which is now unique in Europe”.

Headquartered in Elland, New Ivory, with a workforce of around 180 employees, makes specialty culinary sauces for the meat, fish and poultry sectors.

In February this year, Ardian, a Paris based equity firm acquired a majority stake in Solina Group, the new owner of New Ivory. Headquartered in Bréal-Sous-Monfort, it has multiple offices operating across Europe.
