Byan Wilson, Sales & Marketing Manager of International Paper's Temple-Inland Building Products“ division, has taken over as Chairman of the Composite Panel Association (CPA) as of 1 January. Kelly Shotbolt, CEO of Flakeboard, acts as new Vice Chairman and Grady Mulbery of Roseburg is the new Secretary/Treasurer. James Hogg of Uniboard Canada completed his term as Chairman in 2012 and now serves as Immediate Past Chairman. Wilson, Shotbolt and Mulbery were elected by the Board of Directors at the CPA's last Fall Meeting from 23-25 September 2012 in Ottawa.
Three of the four current CPA board members, that is Wilson, Shotbolt and Hogg, are working for companies that have seen changes in ownership over the last few months. The Temple-Inland Building Products division will be taken over by Georgia-Pacific. Flakeboard has belonged to Paneles Arauco since September 2012 and Kaycan acquired Uniboard almost at the same time. The CPA board members hold the individual positions for a predetermined period of time in each case. The Vice Chairman always becomes Chairman the following year, while the Treasurer becomes Vice Chairman. The Chairman remains with the CPA board for another year after his one-year term in office.
