Feng Hsin, one of the major steel long product makers in Taiwan announced to hike the list prices for rebar, section steel and scrap substantially by NT$400/ton for this week.
Also, the company has increased its rebar list prices for consecutive four weeks.
After the announcement, Feng Hsin's latest prices of rebar are at NT$18,100/ton; that of section steel is at NT$20,200~NT$20,400/ton and that of scrap is at NT$10,500~NT$11,200/ton.
Industry sources indicated that Feng Hsin decided to raise the rebar prices substantially for thus week as the scrap prices soared sharply in the international market recently.
