Field & Stream, a specialty hunting and fishing retail chain being launched by Dick's Sporting Goods, will open its first store in South Carolina and 14th store nationwide on Thursday, August 27 at Centre Pointe in North Charleston.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 4956 Centre Pointe Drive on Thursday at 9:45 a.m., following by a four-day grand opening celebration with special appearances by several celebrities, including Captain "Wild" Bill, star of Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch" from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, and NASCAR star Matt Kenseth from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pro Angler Captain Joe Owens will also be in-store on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
"Field & Stream provides the products and experts needed to carry on the traditions shared by outdoor enthusiasts of all ages," said Jack Barnes, general merchandise manager, Field & Stream. "Our North Charleston location will carry a complete assortment of gear from the most-trusted names in the business."
Named for the iconic brand that for more than 140 years has been synonymous with outdoor experiences, the Field & Stream store offers an assortment of outdoor equipment, accessories and services in hunting, fishing, archery, camping and more. The store carries a variety of top national outdoor brands, including Remington, Sitka, Sage, Shimano and Yeti, and provides top of the line in-store services.
