Meritor Inc. has introduced two planetary axles engineered for heavy-haul, oil field, logging and mining applications, the company announced.
Meritor has introduced the P600 series of planetary axles, which are available in tandem and tridem configurations, the company said. The tandem axle P610 has a maximum gross axle weight rating of 84,000 pounds, and the tridem axle P614 has a maximum gross axle weight rating of 126,000 pounds, Meritor said. Axle ratios ranging from 3.46:1 to 24.8:1 are available. Both models feature anti-lock braking and nonvented drum brakes.
The P610 and P614 axles use common components from other Meritor axles, which can reduce lead times for customer deliveries, Meritor said.
Meritor was slated to will display the axles at the ConExpo trade show in Las Vegas during March 4-8.
