Graphic Packaging International has received approval from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority for a 40%, six-year tax credit for its expansion project.
The company plans to create $708,864 in new annual payroll as part of the expansion project at the plant, 1141 W. Center St. in Marion.
The expansion, slated for commencement in the late second or third quarter of 2014 in the City of Marion, is set to create 30 full-time positions, while retaining $10.4m in existing payroll.
Graphic Packaging Atlanta corporate office spokeswoman Amy MacKinnon told Marion Star that as part of the expansion, machinery will be moved from another facility located outside of Ohio for the development of the site.
Graphic Packaging produces folding cartons, coated recycled boxboard and specialty bag packaging.
