British luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is set to produce its XJ saloon brand at Tata Motors manufacturing plant in Pune, India.
The new model follows the introduction of Land Rover Freelander 2 and Jaguar XF models in 2011 and 2013 respectively.
Besides this, the company unveiled the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe and the Range Rover long wheelbase models for the Indian market at the 12th Delhi Auto Expo Motor Show on 5 February 2014.
Jaguar Land Rover CEO Ralf Speth said that they are in India to showcase the latest offerings from their two British brands.
"This demonstrates that we are delivering our promise to create exciting products and unrivalled customer experiences," Speth added.
"We aim to enhance the potential of the Indian market by growing our dealer network by 25 per cent this year and will now manufacture our flagship model, the Jaguar XJ, in Pune."
