UK-based KM Packaging has announced the launch of two new lidding films that can provide shelf-life of up to one year for products including uncooked meat,vegetables and sauces.
Available under the company's Superguard X range,the films can assure better product integrity of uncooked produce stored at ambient temperatures for a year.
KM Packaging managing director Charles Smithson said the request from food manufacturers had prompted the company to develop the new lidding film technology.
"KM Packaging recognised the need for a superior high performance lidding film and with our vast experience in the food manufacturing industry we were able to easily identify the key performance criteria of the material required to do the job,"Smithson said.
According to the company,the ovenable lidding films are claimed to be reliable and deliver good peelability,better properties and film clarity.
