Dematic, a global supplier of logistics systems for the factory, warehouse and distribution center, announced today that REO Speedwagon will perform the band’s classic hits such as Golden Country, Riding the Storm Out and Can’t Fight this Feeling, for attendees at the 2013 Material Handling & Logistics Conference in Park City, Utah, September 8 to 11.
The 28th annual educational event will provide attendees with the tools they require to design and operate a world-class supply chain. This year’s theme Get Smart: Boost Your Supply Chain iQ will help attendees build the strategic and tactical plans required to alleviate operational challenges today and in the future. Participants will hand pick their curriculum from the more than 50 sessions spread over 6 tracks (leadership, talent, experience, solutions, innovation and lifecycle) addressing supply chain strategies, trends and thought leadership.
For almost five decades, REO Speedwagon has been performing for audiences throughout the world, while selling more than 40 million records and achieving 12 Top 40 hits. The band will perform at the conference on Tuesday, September 10.
“REO Speedwagon is an American classic and we’re thrilled to host them at our conference,” said John Baysore, president and CEO, Dematic North America. “After a full day of educational sessions, conference attendees will have this unique experience to relax and enjoy the performance of REO Speedwagon in the picturesque mountain setting of Park City.”
The 2013 conference mission is to educate participants on how to benchmark their supply chain objectives, quantify gaps and help them build their own actionable 100-day plan to start closing those gaps to greatness. Programming promises to educate attendees on the solutions tailored toward solving the challenges of the ever-changing business landscape of today and tomorrow.
Dematic recently announced Jay Leno as the keynote speaker at the conference. He will perform on Monday, September 9.
