Mondelez Opens $30m Production Line in Poland Chocolate Facility

Confectionery firm Mondelez International has opened a new $30m production line at Skarbimierz factory in Poland.

Located 25 miles south east of Wroclaw, the line has been built to enhance capacity, efficiency, and flexibility through a modular design.

The announcement adds to Mondelez International's earlier investment of $15m to establish a global research and development center in the Wroclaw area.

This is the first major investment in the Skarbimierz factory since its opening in 2010.

This investment has led up to 90 new positions. Currently, the facility has 400 employees.

The investment made in the new facility will support its plans to grow in biscuit and chocolate categories with brands such as Oreo, Cadbury, Milka, Terry's Chocolate Orange and 3Bit.

Mondelez International manufacturing director Roman Sitko said: "This line of the future is a big step forward, not only for the Skarbimierz plant but also for the whole European snacking market.

"Our passionate team is excited and proud to enter a new chapter with this innovative solution. This will enable us to produce some of Europe's best-loved brands and offer innovative snacking solutions."
