The trivia game based on the iconic detective has six days remaining to hits its goal of $20,000.
Iconic super sleuth Nancy Drew is just days away from getting her own board game, as a new Kickstarter project surges towards its $20,000 goal.
Designed and created by trivia fan, Quincy Macshane, the Nancy Drew Board Game is a continuation of the popular book series, aimed at educating kids about the literary character.
For two to four players, the Nancy Drew Board game features educational trivia for kids aged eight and upwards. The game incorporates stories from the 56 book series and is designed to support the power of reading and positive female role models.
The game features iconic character Nancy Drew, George Fayne, Bess Marvin, Ned Nickerson, Dave Evans and more, as well as a range of tokens including a magnifying glass, flashlight and Nancy’s roadster.
“Nancy drew has been an inspiration to me and I feel can do the same for other kids,” explained MacShane via her Kickstarter project page. “I designed this trivia board game as a fun way for new generations to learn about Nancy drew and the power of reading.”
Having formed the company Sutherland Games LLC, MacShane has acquired the rights to produce the officially licensed game from Simon and Schuster. She is now engaged with a ‘top game production company in Michigan’ who will fulfill primary orders should the game hits its $20k target.
With six days remaining on the clock, the Nancy Drew Board Game has already surpassed $16,000 in crowdfunding. The project will close on Sunday, October 26th, possibly making this one of Nancy’s closest cases to crack yet.
