Ezz Steel, the largest steelmaker in Egypt announced to remain its prices for hot rolled coils (HRC) unchanged at EGP4,950/ton for April bookings due to weak demand. It’s learned that the domestic buyers have become more cautious of purchasing as a lack of projects caused by political uncertainty has caused steel consumption become weak. At the same time, Ezz Steel also remained its HRC export prices to Saudi Arabia unchanged at US$660/ton FOB.
